Bridgetown Area Community Fund
To provide for the continued growth and well-being of Bridgetown and surrounding areas.
Attention: Qualifying Charities
The Bridgetown Area Community Fund issues grants each year in keeping with our mission, vision and values. Qualifying registered charities or affiliated organizations located within the Community and the surrounding the area of Bridgetown are encouraged to apply.
Our Hope
It is our desire that the Community Fund assists various organizations within Bridgetown and surrounding areas, through the income it earns while its principal amount continues to grow through charitable donations received from community minded members of our area, past and present.
SOME OF THE LATEST GRANTS
Far Reaching
Community Foundations bring together people who care about the place where they live. They are independent, volunteer-driven, charitable organizations that aim to strengthen their communities by facilitating charitable giving, by partnering with donors to build permanent endowments and other funds from which they support local projects, and by providing leadership on issues of broad community concern.
SOME EXAMPLES
Bridgetown Curling Club
Ernest Buckler Literary Event Society
Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation
Bridgetown and Area Historical Society
MISSION
To provide for the continued growth and well being of Bridgetown and surrounding areas.
VISION
The 21st century offers many challenges. A diverse Board of Directors will administer the fund in concert with the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia. The Board of Directors is independent of the Municipality of the County of Annapolis; but will support the long term strategic plan for Bridgetown.
VALUES
Bridgetown Area Community Fund (BACF) will appreciate the broad interest of Bridgetown and surrounding areas which includes culture, education, heritage, tourism, recreation, volunteerism and other cornerstones of our vibrant communities.
